Does not pay any attention to us

 tried to starve us

shift blame on other people

plays poor me and tries to guilt me all the time

tries to get us to move back with him then when i tell him no he stops talking to me for a while

stopped feeling safe around him when there are not a lot of people around

  • Not an illness but a control issue And definately NOT a safe environment for a child to be in.

  • Can't say by your description alone, and I'm not sure what "tried to starve us means", but your description can fit a lot of things like, narcissism, control issues, depression. I'm sure an actual psychologist could think of even more categories he fits into, he might have more than one issue. This doesn't sound like a safe relationship either way.

  • the starving thing that he tried to do to us... he would come home and brag about how much food he at but we had to make very litttle food last a month or longer.
