  • Wow, that's horrible!

And this is why, even if you don't have guns in the house, that you need to teach gun safety.

When a child sees a gun they should

    STOP

    DONT TOUCH

    TELL AN ADULT

All kids should be taught this and tested on it, just like stop, drop and roll.

  • yes, i heard about it a couple of days ago. i haven't heard anything of it since though....i don't think they ever found out where the gun came from and how it got there. but i always tell my kids don't touch and call 911 if they see a gun (and god i hope that never happens!)

  • Thats so sad, unfortunately this is what happens when parents think its a good idea to hide guns from children and they become curious. Without proper education on firearms and firearm safety accidents happen and why was a 5 year old and a 4 year old at a park without anyone watching them?

  • This is inexcusable. It happens when some dumba$$ parents think they need a gun for protection....and their kids think the gun is a cool toy. So criminal...the parents need protection from themselves and their idiocy. A few years ago a Grandma was shopping ( at Walmart...heh ) with her 3 year old grandbaby in the cart---she kept a "cute little ladylike handgun" in her purse and ,guess what? Her Grandbaby got the gun and shot her! She survived but she was an idiot,I think.
