  • can't think of anything that is "free" unless you already have all the supplies around the house...

  • You can google free crafts or even cheap crafts and see what comes up. There are several crafts you can do for next to nothing with supplies that you already have.

  • Okay, I did this when I was a little girl so don't laugh. I gathered up rounded or flattened rocks and painted them with my grandmother's old nail polish. I loved doing that!! And you can get some really cheap polish from the dollar store. Its just relaxing, nothing really intraquet.

  • why don't u offer to bake for moms with kids in school. nothing worse when a kid announces before he goes to bed, oh by the way mom, i need to bring cookies to school tomorrow. bake a batch of your favorite cookies or cupcakes and bring them to neighbors with kids to sample and hand them a flier saying u can bake for a fee or stand outside the elementary school and hand fliers out. bring a batch to school and hand them out to moms waiting in cars and hand them a flier. call yourself BakerElla!

  • If your children aren't too young, you can go spend some time at a nursing home with the elderly. Many of the elderly miss their own children and grandchildren so much that they would welcome a visit from a nice family.

You can decorate egg holders with ribbon and lace and use it as an earring holder or don't decorate it and plant seeds in them (if they are cardboard). When the seeds sprout you can separate the biodegradable egg cups and plant each one separately.

Take worn-out, old clothes that are ready for the trash or donation and make a quilt by hand from them! It doesn't have to be perfect. Just cut into equal sized squares, sew together, place it against an old, thin blanket and back it with an old sheet. Sew the edges and fold over on itself to create a border. Sew a design by hand or machine throughout the piece to hold all the layers together.

  • Yup get you some plastic bags and cut them up and start making some bags. Try finding some that are differnt colors so that you can make some bright ones then see how many of your friends need a good bag to hold things in an sell them.

  • You need to get out of the house for awhile.Get a babysitter, join a club in the afternoons. The ywca has babysitters available and other health clubs while you work out or go for a swim. Go to the library get kids some talking books, videos, meet other moms there. They may have a moms and tots club at the library, ours does, it has a toy lending club where all the kids come and play. march breaks has story telling and crafts by the librarians. The library is also a good source for information on whats going on in your city. They may know of some clubs to join, or crafters meetings, etc. Plus lots of books on crafts you'd like to learn.
