Is It Normal For My 12 Month Old To Only Have 6 Teeth At This Time?

  • anything is "normal"...babies develop and things grow at all different times...My friends little boy didn't have his canines even when he was 2! they just came in and he's almost 3 :) they will probabyl come in at once :)

  • Sure! My friend's children didn't get their first teeth until they were over a year. Every child is different. :)

  • My son cut his first two teeth at 4 months. Then there was a 7 month gap of no new teeth. I think at one year he had 4-6 teeth. My daughter cut her first tooth at 11.5 months. He's now 7.5 and losing his baby teeth. She's now 4 and just mouths off/argues about everything.

    My doctor told me that as long as s/he has at least one tooth by 13 months everything is "normal".
