  • Starting googling "immigration to Canada" and start finding out what you need to do. There might be work or other types of visas or just paperwork needed. My friends mom was married to a Canadian citizen for 20 years before they decided to make Toronto their permanent home. The woman was over 60 with a highly successful business that easily transferred across the border and he had work as well. The hoops she had to jump through were kind of crazy, but now that they are settled everything has been great for her, especially since she had a heart attach and fell a couple of months ago.
