How do I whiten my teeth without expensive procedures?

  • I use Crest Whitestrips, they work really well. The instructions say to use them every day for a week, but my teeth get too sensitive, so I only use them about once a week.

  • Avoid things that stain your teeth like coffee, dark sodas and red wine. Some teeth are simply more prone to staining. Brush gently 2 or 3 times a day. I can't stand the baking soda toothpastes personally but baking soda is a natural whitener and those toothpastes aren't more costly than others.

  • Swish a little hydrogen peroxide(the active ingredient in most whitening products) around in your mouth before you brush each morning.

  • I use a colgate toothpaste with Peroxide and baking soda it has a mint flavor also and a whitening mouth rinse would be good also.
