Does PMS hit you harder as you get older?

It seems like the older I get, my mental (not physical) PMS symptoms feel worse.

I am angrier, more depressed, and hate my dh for that time period.

Is this normal?
Should I talk to my doctor?

  • I was worse as a teenager and in my late 20s. Then I had years of no symptoms at all. I'm 43 now and do get PMS but while I'm tense and easily upset It's also the time I think my clearest and feel my most vibrant mentally :0> I'd say see your doc. It's not OK to be miserable when there is help out there. Best wishes. x
