Can i go swimming?

What i mean is can I hold my breath underwater, without cut of oxygen to the baby. Im six weeks in.

  • Just not for long periods of time and no hot tubs. You should be OK otherwise. Swimming is actually a really great exercise when you are pregnant because of the bouyancy.

  • Swim till your hearts content, great exercise during pregnancy, great cardiovascular exercise too, no hot tubs though.

  • Besides the excercise factor, getting in a pool farther along in your pregnancy suspends all of your wieght and takes all the pressure off of your joints and such. You can do someting similar in a tub but a pool is way better. Go for it! Unless you are gasping for air and ready to black out, your baby will be fine.
