Are their moms on here that you wonder why they ever had kids?

There is this one mom in particular, who has several kids. I've been reading posts the last few months, this woman I've read the following from " I dont get up to make them breakfast, they get their own, I like sleeping in" (this is kids 3 yrs to 9 I believe) also " I have too many kids for them to be wearing nice clothes, so if they rip them, then oh well thats what they go to school in" ANd " I dont care if they match or look good, they get dressed themselves" And as well " They dont do any activities they just go outside all summer" And the list goes on. Every post this mom makes, makes me wonder why she bothered having kids, she dosnt sound like she does SQUAT for them. Lazy. Take care of your kids, at least try to spend time with them, teach them to care about themselves, and find things for them to do except clean your house for you all the time. Rant over. I realize this makes me sound bitchy, but I dont care, lazy moms piss me off.

  • I like to occasionally be lazy, but that is when it's daddy's turn to step up! I love DD and I spend almost all day every day, with her! We swim, we play peek-a-boo, I try to get her to say new words, we watch her Disney movies. She is my world, I wouldn't treat her like I didn't want her.

  • Yeah, I agree. I haven't read any of those posts, but it would bother me too. I was once friends with a girl who did not want her dd around any, she would not take her out places, and even told me once she just couldn't stand her and wished she didn't have her. I was shocked!! Then she talked crap about me saying I said things like that about my dd. So not true!!!! We ARE NOT friends any longer!! People like her need no children!!

  • Judgemental much? Maybe she's teaching them responsibility. I don't get up with my kids either. I'm hardly lazy, either, as they are homeschooled and I have two jobs. What are you doing with your time that you feel the need to pass your almighty judgment on someone else's different parenting style?

  • Yah well homeschooling and working is different, but when all they do all day is sit on their butts, I'd think they could at least get up to help the 3 year old make breakfast....

  • I've read some of those posts, and while it's not the way *I* would do things, they're not my kids. I do take issue with your gripe about wearing mismatched clothing. Both of my children are very headstrong and stubborn. When they turned two, if I didn't let them choose some of their own clothes, it was a fight of epic proportions to get them dressed. Does it REALLY matter if they go out in stripes and plaid? They're dressed in weather/seasonal appropriate clothing that THEY chose.
