  • Nuc it and it will kill the bacteria! That is what I do, it is because of the way it is processed, but if you put it in the microwave for a bit it is ok.

  • I think you just have towatch how much you eat.

  • Um, you can't?! Never heard that. I did. I am guessing it's because that **MAYBE** there **MIGHT** be a chance of getting a food born illness. Um, wasn't spinach and tomatoes linked to E.Coli a while back? If that is the case (food born illnesses), maybe you shouldn't eat ANYTHING! LOL.
So stupid! If you want lunch meat momma, eat lunch meat!

  • It's not bacteria, it's nitrates. But there are many meats that aren't cured with nitrates anymore. Just read your labels. You'll be fine.

  • yes. you are not supposed to eat lunchmeats or soft cheeses unless the are cooked, nuked, etc. they have a higher incidence of carrying bacteria that could be harmful to the babe.

    warm deli still tastes awesome!

  • I always heard it was listeria that was to worry with lunch meats when pregnant. I agreee with the lady above, nuke it and it will be fine. But then again, nitrates are bad too.

Answer by texasgurl33 at 3:31 PM on Jul. 7, 2011

  • Lysteria is what they want you to watch out for and thats bacteria.

Answer by sugamama3 at 3:32 PM on Jul. 7, 2011

  • You can get listeria, as it can come improperly prepared from the factory. Women didn't take this seriously until their unborn babies started dying from it.
