How to get your SO to help with the bills?

He already helps pay the bills but he has no clue what comes in when its due NOTHING!
Anyone have any ideas to get him more involved?

  • Make a quick bill calendar. Just a monthless calendar that has the bills added in (or best estimates for variables)

    Mortgage on the 1st, $1100
    Phone on the 15th, $60

Add in green planned paydays, again with estimated amounts.

If you want to get fancy, put an estimated cash flow at the bottom of each day. But just to get an idea for the bills, that's not necessary.

It won't make him get it, but it will make it easier for him to get it and remember.

  • I have a bill planner/folder there is a page for each month and on that page is a slot for all the bills due that month..My boyfriend of 7 years still has a hard time.. he has finally grasped the concept of just paying all the bills that have come when you get paid and whatever is left is left!
