During and after your pregnancy do find that SAHMs give you better advise than Working Moms?

  • I try to take everything from everyone...poick out what works for my situations, and throw the rest away. And, thats what I tell people about my advise as well. Take what you feel is right, and ignore the rest. NO ONE knows everything.

  • I don't see what a person's employment status has to do with their ability to give advice about pregnancy.

  • Couldn't say. I've heard good and bad advice from both.

  • advice is advice. if you're going back to work, get advice from women who went back to work. if you're staying home, get advice from women who stayed home. nevertheless, i think there are some universal truths: everything will be chaotic, and you should accept whatever help you can get.

also: don't take stupid advice, such as sleep when your baby sleeps. if that were true, you'd never shower or eat (or sit quietly with your partner). those things have to happen SOME time, and it sure ain't happ'nin when baby's awake.

  • I think your opinions should be consistant if you are staying at home or working. I have done both. I think I can offer decent advice. I know at times I can be very opinionated about something, and not be very thoughtful expressing that opinion. People usually give advice based off their own experiences, or what they think they would do in the same situation. I think the best advice comes form someone who already been through it.

  • personally i have been both, and i have asked advice from bother and really it just depends on you in general, some of the advice you get wont be worth anything, and then other advice is gonna rock but as far as who it comes from doesnt really matter bc a SAHM's advice may not work well for me, but some of the advice from a workin mom may suit my life better, or the other way around
