1 Bump

Okay so I just checked myself to see if I was dilated and I'm not really sure...does anyone know where I'm supposed to be feeling? adult content

everything is so lumpy in there. There is a hard lump in the very back of my vagina and then it feels like folds of skin on top....where is my cervix? I thought it was supposed to feel like a donut but there is no donut that I can feel in there Lol I went pretty far in (four fingers) how far do you need to go in? Thanks!

  • No, with the belly that can be tricky!

Sounds like your cervix is normal ( = back).

  • Omg leave your cervix alone! You have no clue what you are doing. You have had training on how to do this. If you rupture your bag of waters, which can happen during exams, and baby's head is high, baby could slam down on it's own cord cutting off oxygen.

  • You should not be checking yourself.

  • No reason to check yourself, there is no reason for a doc to check you either untill you are 39 weeks or so. dialation doesn't mean squat when it comes to labor

  • Typo you have had no training....

  • How are you even able to do that? My belly would not have allowed that. Plus they have to really get on up in there to check that. You could give yourself an infection too.

  • Sounds posterior.
Are you siting on the toilet to do this?

Answer by doulala at 12:34 PM on Jul. 8, 2011

  • That hard lump is probably your cervix. It is cone like until it effaces (flattens out) and starts to dilate.
