, Michele Bachmann became the first presidential candidate to sign a pledge created by THE FAMiLY LEADER, an influential social-conservative group in Iowa. By signing the pledge Bachmann “vows” to “uphold the institution of marriage as only between one man and one woman” by committing herself to 14 specifics steps. The ninth step calls for the banning of “all forms” of pornography. The pledge also states that homosexuality is both a choice and a health risk. You can read all the details of the pledge here.

  • Against the First Amendment but that shouldn't surprise anyone. Politicians don't give a damn about the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. Hell, they probably don't even know what it says.

  • banning it won't mean it will stop. Also, what one considers porn, another might not (ie. Harlequin romance novels and Victoria Secret catalogs have been discussed among some of my friends.)

In addition, homosexuality is NOT a choice, nor is it a health risk.

  • It goes way beyond the Ist Amendment....she and her DH have a mission, a crusade, to "cure"homosexuals" through prayer and they are rabidly homophobic. I will find some articles and quotes about them. They are scary, controlling people. http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2011/07/bachmanns-lifelong-anti-gay-crusade/39629/

And,to answer your question....NO, the POTUS should not ban porn. I hate porn but its wrong to BAN anything.
