  • It was close to accurate- They guess DD at 5 pounds 13 oz with one week to go. So guessing her birth weight at around 6 and a half pound. She was born at 7 pounds even.

  • sometimes they were sometimes they weren't. I had 1 done the WEEK before my son was born, they said he weighed 6lbs.6oz and the next week he was born weighing 9lbs. 3oz. lol

  • I had an ultrasound done for my first at 38 weeks. They estimated him to be 9 lbs. He was born a week later at 8 lbs 8 oz. So going by the 1/2 lb a week usual gain at the end, they were a pound off.

  • They can be off by up to 20% or 2 lbs. I would say with my daughter it was pretty close. At 37 weeks they told me she was 7 lbs 2 oz and at birth (41 weeks) she weighed 9 lbs 1 oz. I had one this time at 36 weeks and they said my son weighs 7 lbs 10 oz......she did it 3 times just to make sure. I still have 2 weeks left til due day, so I guess we'll see how close it is this time as well.
