How soon should i start?

my son is almost 16 months old. when is a good time to start trying to potty train him?

  • He will show an intrest in the potty, and be inquisitive about it,,IMO 16 months is too young,, DS was close to 3 and we got it done in a weekend. If you try to early you and he will both get frustrated.

  • There is no magical age. It all depends on when he is showing signs of being ready.

  • When he's ready. He needs to be able to recognize the cues and be able to communicate the need to you.

    Someone told me that if a child is ready, you can potty train in 3 days. If you have to work too hard at it, he's probably not ready, and you may as well just try again in a couple of months.

  • Telling you when he is dirty, or needs a change, is the first sign.

  • well he's not really talkin yet. he'll pull at his diaper sometimes when its dirty, but he does that to just to play with his diaper. so i just dnt kno
