Does your body temperature rise slightly when you're pregnant?

  • I can't remember if it rises when you're ovulating or when you're pregnant. That's why I ask.

  • Yes, im currently pregnant and sometimes i feel hot and i sweat and the next minute i feel fine. Its normal :)

  • Just wondering. I'm not pregnant (atleast I don't think I am) but the last time hubby and I had sex he said I was pretty hot. And not feverish hot or even physically hot-looking (hehe) but my body temperature was hot. So i'm wondering if it was because I was ovulating or because I was something else.

  • Your basal body temperature (BBT) goes up by about half a degree after you ovulate, and it stays elevated for the entire pregnancy if you conceive. It's not detectable, though, unless you've been charting your BBT and know what your normal is before and after ovulation. Your waking temperature does not change due to ovulation or pregnancy.
