While in an interview

i said "i'll watch him for the first 3 hours free of charge!" because i love kids, and she was pondering whether or not to have a babysitter on this particular day...i feel dumb for saying that now because she said immediately after "how about only 1 hour no charge then i'll pay you from there."
was what i said sort of FORWARD a bit much? i feel like i offered too much so i don't want her to use me now or anything! i just love kids and i wanted to help her out. i also instinctively gave her a hug after some laughs. oops! i always get close to people easily. i hope it's fine what do u think! it was a cery casual interview, we both had jeans on and it only lasted 10 minutes, but still

  • Instant intimacy makes some people uncomfortable, and I think that you should apologize.

Did you send a thank you note?

  • i agree with above, gettin into someone's bubble(personal space) can be off putting. Im the hugging type as well but certainly dont do it in interviews, i have went into interviews where the interviewer gave me a hug and i felt awkward about it. with friends i always ask for a hug rather than just do it. i would just apologize for your actions and tell her you didnt mean to offend her if you did.

  • i think she means a thank you for having her come in for an interview. i have had employers send me thank you letters for showing up to an interview, but only from places like hospitals and such
