  • I am sure I might have made them but nothing stands out to me, my kids are well adjusted adults so I think I did a pretty good job.

  • Oh Boy!! Where to start? My oldest is heading for 20 soon. Looking back (which I do all the time these days), I see many areas where I could have done things differently that would have helped her more now than at that moment. At the time...you think you're doing for them what hurts less at the moment but....in the long run, I can see I should have let some of the hurts hurt at that time and it would have benefited her more now. Like for example, her way of keeping friends who use her for a doormat and take advantage of her kind-hearted giving nature. I wanted to run them off then.....she seemed it would devastate her then......she still puts up with their garbage today. I really didn't handle that properly. Question is: Would she just have be-friended more just like them? IDK. This still bothers me to see her go through these hurtful episodes when not treated same as they would expect. I feel guilty.
