Exercise I can do at home w/o equipment?

We live in the middle of nowhere, and therefore, there isn't a gym nearby. I need to shape up. I move as much as I can, when I clean house, I dance, I don't stand still very much anymore, ect. But I need a boost. I'm not sure what I'm looking for, just maybe more of something to help build muscle tone? I don't have weights, but I guess I could buy some if I have to do so...
Any ideas before spending money??

  • Do u have a stroller? Alot of people jog pushing babies outside. I don't suggest leaving the baby in the house while u r out running. Not good and it is child endangerment.

  • Do you have a TV? You can do videos, many of which don't require any equipment. I like Jillian Michaels and Jackie Warner, personally. You can also put DVDs into your computer to watch that way. This would also allow you to stay with the baby. Investing in a good jogging stroller, like a Bob Revolution, is generally worth it. Even if it just gets you walking, it would he great. Sparkpeople.com has some great exercise demos for stuff you can do at home as well.

  • cans of food and water bottles(filled) make good starter weights. an exercise band is not expensive, maybe try jogging around the house instead of walking
