Need some snack and lunch ideas for going on a hiking trip.

Other than trail mix what is some good snacks to take on a hike? Most of our hikes will be about 2 miles and rated strenuous. Also, we will be bringing our lunch in a cooler. Other than sandwiches, what are some good lunch ideas to bring that will keep in a cooler?

  • Wraps - whole wheat tortilla, turkey or chicken breast, fresh baby spinach, a little veggie cream cheese or something spread on the tortilla to hold it all together. Cheese if you like, as well as other veggies (I like strips of cucumber, hydration & crunch all in one).
