  • Most reasons really ... dont get me wrong, I wish I could of breast fed longer and i will try again with my next child. but when i had my son, i was stressed out, kind of depressed, i had him via csection at 34 weeks preggo. he was premature so he couldnt suck on my nipple for long enough to get enough milk before falling asleep but he could stimulate better then a pump so i was told i had to let him on first and then pump.. every single time. this while recovering from a csection, no sleep, etc.etc. - i really couldnt deal with it. i stopped at 2 weeks. it sucks but im only human and im not perfect.

  • I would never think a mom was selfish for not breastfeeding period. It's her child, her boobs, her life.

There are women out there who neglect their kids, kills their why are we worried if a mom is not breastfeeding hers? Live and let live. Just putting my 2 cents in.

  • This is kind of a trick question, I don't want to offend anyone so I will just say what reasons I would not breastfeed for, and I am an avid supporter of breastfeeding.

I would not breastfeed if I absolutely had to be on medication, and the medication would harm my baby
I would not breastfeed if something I was intaking or exposed to would harm my baby, via breastmilk

for some reason I can't think of any others.

Oh, and say my baby was born with some type of issue to where I wouldn't be able to breastfeed right away, I would pump like crazy

  • Her body her choice! There is no one circumstance. That would be judgmental of me to call her selfish.

  • Any reason. I don't think any mother has to breast feed her child.

  • The choice is personal. Not my business if a mother wants to breast feed, extend breast feed, or bottle feed breast milk, or bottle feed formula.
