I've always wondered, what happens if i give my toddler gum and she swallows it? How bad is it?

  • My DH has gotten my son (22months) addicted to chewing little pieces of gum. DRIVES ME CRAZY!! But, my son actually doesnt swallow it. It chews it for a while, then spits it out.....or gives it to me!! LOL yucky

  • Why give a toddler gum? They'll either swallow it or get it stuck in their hair or worse.. your hair! Kind of a lose lose situation if you ask me!

  • The rule is no gum until five in our house. To answer your question though, it isn't going to hurt her if she swallows it. Although choking is a concern and a lot of toddlers won't keep it in their mouth, so watch out!
