What are some great toddler books about manners, friendship, and good behavior?

My MIL has a series from the 60s about sharing, bossing, nap time, manners, etc. But I can't find anything like it to add to my children's collection. We do a lot of reading with our kids and I think this may be a great approach with my strong-willed toddler. Any suggestions or favorites?

  • The Berenstein Bears are really good books, there is also a Winnie the Pooh series, but the BEST way to teach your kids about manners and respect is to model that behavior, "Jimmy, please bring Mommy the book, thank you"

  • You may want to check out Karen Katz's books "No Hitting", "Excuse Me", etc. My daughter loves them, and uses the things it says a lot. It's pretty simple, but it works!
