I have 6yo sofa and the cushion corners are sinking; any tips to firm up; all I could think of was putting board under the length of cushions

  • Ours is not that old and we have the same issue. I remember growing up our sofa cushions would get like this and my mother use to remove the covering and sew other fabric around it, than cover it with the covering and it would be like new.

If you are into sewing this may be a thrifty way to boost up the cushions.

  • Mine's older than that. I would see if you can take the covers off and maybe replace the pillows themselves?? The cushions on mine are fine, it's the back cushions that have seen their better days. I am thinking of just taking them off and finding some type of replacement.
