My friend insists on babysitting for me at no charge...what should I give her instead?

My husband and I are leaving town for 2 days next month. I asked my friend and neighbor to babysit our 4 kids while we are gone. She has 2 kids herself. Sometimes we trade babysitting but as of late neither one of us have paid the other because the times are usually equal. She never takes money from me; perhaps because they are much better off financial than we are. Her husband has a great career and mine works blue collar. I told her not to even think about babysitting for 2 full days for no pay, but she insists. What should I do? I want to get her something for dealing with my kids for such a long time.

  • Bring her something back from your trip. A gift card for dinner. A family gift...board game, etc. Write her a note thanking her for her friendship, babysitting and how much it all means to you and your family. A gift certificate for a massage. You could bring some snacks and movies over to entertain the kids. There are many new kids movies out on DVD.

  • A gift card sounds good! :) And you could watch her kiddos while she goes out to spend it.

  • I suggest a "date night basket" for her and her husband. Put a bottle of wine or something, a restaurant gift card and a certificate entitling her to a night of free babysitting provided by you:)

  • Can you trade for a skill that you have? Cook for her, clean, trade babysitting, make a special gift.
