  • Sea Salt. Have no issues with Kosher. Doesn't affect the taste - Salt is Salt.

  • We use Trader Joe's fine-grain sea salt. We also have a can of Morton's in the pantry.

  • I don't allow salt in my home. There is enough in your food already.

  • Sabrina - non prepared foods don't have salt - Potatoes made from scratch don't have salt in them already. If you are cooking from scratch, then if you want salt, you have to add salt.

But yes, prepared foods already have plenty of salt in them.

  • I cook from scratch so no, the food doesn't have salt in it already (unless someone has figured out how to infuse salt into a fresh veggie!). I use sea salt. Kosher is okay too, I just like sea salt the best.

  • I use Kosher when I'm cooking, because it's easier to handle. I put sea salt in the salt shaker.

  • I guess I should have said there is SODIUM in everything. You don't need to add any. A healthy intake of sodium is done by eating a healthy diet, not by adding it! Even veggies have a natural sodium content. For example - A fresh medium potato has 16mg of sodium. Why would you add any? If you want flavor, add pepper or garlic... Never a need for salt. It's not healthy in unnatural or added amounts.
