How to protect my baby!?

How do i know which doctor to choose? I have never been through a pregnancy and my mother told me she isnt helping me on it since im only 18. I dont even know where to begin to research to find the right doctor for me and my baby.

  • Neither. I am pregnant and i know that your supposed to go to a doctor and get check ups but i dont know how to make a decision on how to choose a doctor or what questions to even ask a doctor to decied if i want them to be my doctor.

  • U might prefer a woman doctor. U would be more comfortable with it being your first baby.

  • I believe i would my husband would flip out if it was a male doctor.

    What kind of a birth experience do you want?
    If health and safety are priority I encourage you to start with interviewing midwives first.
    Use an OB only IF you have complications that require a surgeon/high-risk doctor.

    There are questions you can ask when interviewing, let me know if you want a list.

  • Just look online for OBGYN's in your area...call a couple make appts and you will know when you like a dr. Trust me. It's just instinct. And you can always change your dr if you decide you don't like them.

    And why is your mother not wanting to help if you are married...?
