Can PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) cause you to miss a period?

I asked earlier and got 1 yes and 1 no.

My last period was may 16th. I was just daignosed with PID last wednesday.

  • I just did a quick search to double check but I couldn't find anywhere that said missing periods was a symptom. I don't suppose that means you can't miss one due to PID though but it's not so likely? Not much help after all am I. Have you tested for pregnancy? x

  • I'm sure it can, anything and everything can affect your period like diet, stress, sex, lack of drinking water even so I'm thing that PID can definitely affect it.

  • I had an ultrasound to rule out pregnancy. But still, I thought it was a bit odd. I've never been this late =\
