How long before you throw leftovers out?

After 4 days I throw leftovers out. is it less or longer with you?

  • I don't have leftovers. I make enough for my son and I. We don't like leftovers.

  • Depending on what it is, I usually go about 5 days. But I do clean out my fridge the night before garbage gets picked up so I dont get any green, fuzzy surprises growing in the back of the fridge! :p

  • 3 to 4 days max, unless I freeze them or they go bad beforehand :)

    I've heard no longer than 4 days.

  • Normally I only make enough to avoid having left overs but, if there are any, I try to incorporate some of the left overs into the next nights meal. I only reheat food once and toss the rest.

  • Depends what it is. Some things only get 2 days, some things a week. But nothing goes to waste anyway, anything that would get "thrown out" goes to the dog.
