37 weeks and breeched?

Okay so my question is im just about 37 weeks and my baby is breeched I also have increased amniotic fluid which causes concern cause I heard that can cause babies to be breeched there for ending in c section I dread the very thought. How many of you were still breeched at this point and the baby eventually flipped? For those of you who were not so lucky how hard is the after care of takingcare of a newborn with a c section healing? Im wondering cause ill bealonewith a 5 year old as well. Any advice would be great im worried :(.. Thank you.

  • I've seen babies flip while Mama was in labor. Try not to fret! Try some handstands in the swimming pool, and doing cat/cow poses (on all fours, arching and rounding your back). Avoid external version (which is done by a doctor). Few doctors have enough experience to make this safe, and it's very painful and very dangerous.
I had a c-section (emergency, and I was NOT mentally prepared). I totally understand your fears. My recovery was quite smooth, and I was back to my walks 2 weeks post partum. Get the number of a good lactation consultant if you plan to breastfeed, because c-sections CAN interfere with breastfeeding.
    Good luck!

  • Baby still has time to flip around so dont worry to much yet. I know how you feel about the c section thing. I'm terrified something will go wrong and I'll end up having to have one. My friend had a c section and she had twins so she had 2 new borns to take care of. She said the pain wasnt that bad and taking care of her twins wasnt to hard. And she was a single mom. I think you'll be fine. Try not worry to much about having a c section yet. Good luck

  • Babies can flip all the way up through labor!

Also look for a chiropracter that does the Webster Technique.

If all else fails babies CAN be SAFELY born breech. You just need the RIGHT care provider who is trained in breech delivery and willing to do it. Pretty much all midwives and SOME doctors are trained in breech deliver.
