  • Never. I talk to everyone. Half the time I'm the one starting the conversation.

  • Only if it is someone I think is trying to hit on me. Why not talk? Makes the world a more friendly place. Who knows, you may meet someone you really like or someone that you have a lot in common with.

  • It really depends on the situation. I'm a networked. I have earned more clients from small talk in the checkout line.

  • Depends on my mood and where I'm at

Answer by maxava at 9:52 PM on Jul. 10, 2011

  • No because I foolishly think it will be a one-three sentence exchange of pleasantries...instead where I live it ends up being a 10mins conversation w/ some retiree who's family has been ignoring them so they latch onto the first smiling face in the grocery store they see ... I feel bad for them - I do; but sometimes I just want to keep shopping and then I feel like I'm rude if I try to walk away.
