10 month old sleeping on stomach

Our 10 month old has recently starting rolling over and sleeping on her stomach. Should I try to pick her up to sleep on her back or just leave her? She's rolled over and slept like that 3 different times today.

  • She rolled that way, she can roll back.

My DD slept on her tummy from the day I brought her home. She is a healthy 4 year old.

  • At 10 months old, you should put her on her back to start out, but if she can roll, just let her do it. Can she roll back to her back once she's on her stomach?

  • She has rolled from her belly to back a couple of times but it was when she was much younger. I know she can do it if she wants to because she's really strong on her belly.

  • my little girl is 5 months old and rolls over on her stomach all the time. i think it would be okay to leave yours on the stomach just make sure she keeps her head turn to side when savannah started doing that she put her face down into the bed so i was up all the time putting her back on her back or turning her head some but now she dont really do it unless she is awake and mad lol

  • The guidelines for infant sleep positions have changed several times- as of now, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends an infant sleeps on her back. The usual argument is that of SIDS or choking (on vomit) but realistically those things can happen in any position. Discuss it with your pediatrician and try to make an educated judgement.

  • I'd leave her.
My DS has been belly sleeping since he was 3 months.
As long as she can roll over, I don't think there's anything to worry about. :)
