Holy Crap!

I have had ENOUGH of keeping my nephew for my mother. (she has custody b/c my sister is a piece of crap). Anyways I keep him when he's out of school and on days my mom has to wrok. He is always messing stuff up and making a huge mess. He makes everything a competition with my dd (who will be 5 next week) and does these stupid wrestling moves on her and hurts her. (He's 11) Well today he has finally pushed me to my limit. The kids were playing and my dd can be quite annoying at times (she likes to get in ur face and act goofy). Well my nephew has the nerve to BITE her. Yes, BITE. WTF?! What 11 year old bites? I have talked to my mom about his behavior but this is the last straw. I refuse to keep him until he learns how to act! How should I handle this with my mom when she gets off work? I am beyond pissed.

  • What discipline does grandma do when he does this? I'd do the same. If she does nothing, I'd come up with something. No TV or video games (or for limited time) is what works with DD who has ADHD.

  • I would just tell her that you feel he is a danger to your child..

  • biting does seem odd at 11 but so does being destructive and trying to compete with a 5 year old... is there any kind of diagnosis?

  • Just tell her you've had enough and everyone needs a break from each other.

  • happy, my mom has him all the time unless she's at work, i keep him 2 days a week so he is being RAISED, he just lacks discipline, that is my mother's fault

  • I would say who cares if he's depressed on it! He obviously needs the meds!!! Maybe some counseling too!! I would freak if another child who is significantly older bit my DD. Biting is never okay!!!
