  • 12-16 oz of dairy a day. It doesn't have to be milk. It could be yogurt or cheese also.

  • When my son was two he refused all milk, only would drink o.j. Water etc. Now he loves milk at age five. We got the o.j. With calcium, did a lotta yogurt etc. No cavities or bad effects from his boycott.

  • A 2yo needs 3 servings of dairy a day. So how much milk depends how much other dairy he's taking in. If he eats a lot of yogurt or cheese, he doesn't need much milk. If milk is his only source of dairy, 3 8oz cups a day is plenty, and when he has them is up to you.

  • 16 oz of milk and then one other dairy serving/day is what my pediatrician recommends and what my 2 yo gets. So he gets a cup of milk with breakfast and supper, water the rest of the day. Juice is for a treat.
