How much would you ask for?

I am selling my 20 gallon aquarium on craiglist. For everything I am including with the tank I paid about $200 for it when I bought it at the store. How much should I ask for? I just put "make an offer" but people are always trying to get something for nothing and I have been cheated before and I am not going to let it happen again so I need to decide on my minimum before anyone responds.

  • Honestly, I'd start out at 75 and take 50.

  • Depending on how long ago it was purchased and what the condition is...I would price based on that.

  • Say $150 OBO. There are some lowballers out there. Good luck

  • Depends on what you're including. Aquariums can last quite a long time. So if you figure the lifespan of the Aquarium to be say 10 years that would be a 10% depreciation per year. So if you owned it for 3 years, the value would be $140. I would start there and see what your offers are.

    Good luck.
