What is a quick degree, career, or certification class that I can take?

What I mean is something similar to Real Estate. I took the class for 8 wks and then sat for my license. I am looking for other ideas that are similar to this style of training.

  • There are programs to teach basic bookeeping skills to get a job working for businesses, or clerical skills. Even if you already know the stuff, having a certificate saying you are trained in business software helps. I also have two friends who went for phlebotomy. Those classes were about eight weeks including clinicals. Pharmacy tech and several others are only two semesters in length. There are also similar courses in insurance sales for things like health, life, and car insurance sales. That said, most "quick" careers are meant to give you training so you can get a job, but some of them don't pay much better than minimum wage.
