  • Usually, family discussions are about things that are going to happen soon, such as a vacation or a major life change, expectations for chores and behavior, or what's going on the grocery list this week.

  • Yes, it's very important to us as a family. We always talk about our day. We watch the news together and discuss what's going on in the world. Communication is the key to a happy, healthy and trusting family!

  • No. But our DD is only 3, so a family discussion wouldn't do her much good. :-)

  • Haha, my kids DO NOT like it AT ALL when we have family discussions because when we do it's because they pissed me off with their fighting, bickering, and such. I make them sit down and then I talk at them for awhile, and if they interrupt me well then we will just sit there longer. I haven't had to do this in awhile, which makes me think it works, since I don't need to do it that often.
There are other times when we all sit down and I ask them if they wanna talk with me about anything going on with them, whether it's school, their friends, cousins, dad grandma, whatever or whoever.
