How do you help a person?

that needs help but won't go to the doctor and ask for it?

  • If they won't seek out the help they need there isn't anything you can do but be there for them.

  • If they are over 18, there is really nothing you can do unless they are suicidal or homocidal.

  • Be supportive and offer to go with them to the Dr.

  • There isn't much you can do but make the suggestion they get help or just being supportive.

  • You can't help them unless they WANT help. If they really wanted help, they would go to the doctor. You can suggest and nag, but until they want to take that step, you can't push them into it.
