Where will all the cribs go?

I'm sorry if this was asked answered. If so I didn't see it! But after the new Government rules on Cribs. Where will all the drop side ones go if they can't be Sold? And what will stores and factories do with all of them?

  • A lot of them have conversion kits that will be given with them to make them fixed side cribs. I guess I just assumed they would give out the kits.

  • I tried to donate two to Salvation Army last year, and they told me I needed to destroy them so they could not be used. The ban was known about long before it became official. I'm assuming stores stopped buying and factories stopped producing drop side cribs well in advance.

  • They'll just get destroyed. That's what I was told they were going to do to mine when I took it to Target for a refund. Mine was part of the Simplicity recall.
