dry red dots around his mouth?

my ds has had these red dots around his mouth i think for his passifire irritating his skin but im not sure plus his skin is really dry around it it looks so bad its all red and just looks bad! i dont know what it is ive taken the bink away only for nap time and bed time but this problem hasnt gone away i lotion him up about every 4 hours but doesnt seem to be helping...anyone else have this problem what can i use to make it go away its redlittle dots that are really irritated around his mouth help!!

  • if he got moisture trapped between the pacifier and his skin while sleeping or something, it could just be chapped.

    because it's around his mouth, I wouldn't use lotion since you aren't supposed to eat it and it can get easily transfered into his mouth.

    try using chapstick or other lip treatment for dry, chapped lips and just put it around his mouth where the irritation is.

  • I agree, it sounds chapped. Get a really good lotion like Eucrin. Gently rub a little bit in the area then put on a thin coat of vaseline. The vaseline will trap moisture in his skin and will block his spit from his skin.
