How can I get rid of all the burs?

Our yard is full of those bur type things and our dog comes in from outside covered head to toe in them. I am wondering if there is something I can buy or do to get rid of these. It seems like I have to vacuum 3-4 times a day just to keep up with the amount stuck to the floor!

  • OTher than spraying weed killer on the areas where they are growing, I cannot think of a solution.

  • I would think you would have to cut down the bur bushes to get rid of them. Im assuming you mean burdocks?

  • I am not sure what they are, they are little pricker thingys, there aren't any bushes. Maybe they are some sort of weed? There aren't any in our front yard but our backyard is full of them!

  • We have them outside, but no dog to drag them in. I'm no help, here's a bump.

  • We've got the same problem and have to de-burr the dog each time - we have special combs for that.
