Need to get it through SO head

that it doesnt make sense for me to go back to work full time, i dont get any help with daycare, so my entire paycheck will go towards daycare cost, , i dont think this makes sense i told him i will find a job working nights or weeks when family can babysit for FREE...

anysuggestions on exactly what to say,
i think he understood what i was saying , cause he rolled over and said we would talk about it later ,so i think he just didnt want to admit i was right

  • Unless you can get a job that has a higher pay than average, it makes absolutely no sense to go back to work. The cost of childcare, the extra gas to drop off/deliver them to daycare unless it happens to be on your way, extra lunches (unless you bring a lunch to work), your paycheck would be eaten up before it did you any good and it MAY cost you money to go to work. If you can babysit in your home, that would help with income in the house, or maybe you make something crafty that you could sell on Ebay or craigslist. Go to yard sales, buy cheap and sell that on craigslist or Ebay, but I would definitely find alternate options of having a second income.

  • Make a list of all of your expenses & bills.Make a list of all your income. Dont leave anything out. A budget so to speak for your current situation. Then a projected budget as if you were to seek employment outside of the home -add all the expenses you would incur & income. Compare the list. Be fair so it will be accurate. Look to see where you can pay some of your bills to help him not be so stressed at work. Show the lists to him, in a nice way so he can see what your talking about and the two of you get an income plan between the two of you. Then YOU might consider something to earn extra money and stay at home. A lot of us work from home, we make the extra income that helps us take care of our husbands, kids & home. You can find lots of recommendations & support here on CafeMom. Decide what you enjoy doing and then find a way to earn money at it. Help out! Good Luck
