  • He might be going thru a slow down period in his growth, so be sure and only serve him good food 3 times a day. Remember that young children won't eat unless their tummies are empty so don't let him eat between meals. Also, keep in mind that unless he has a full set of back molars (and your dentist can attest to this), that he should still have his food mashed completely. Whole foods like carrots, cookies, etc. can't be ground up sufficiently without teeth to break down the food before it goes into the stomach. :)

  • continued....This little guy still has a fast growing body and the highest nutrition needs, and I know that you want him to be as smart as he can be, so you'll want to feed him a good quality protein at each meal. Hot dogs, bologna and fast food don't qualify. LOL Also, he needs fruit and vegetables. Sweet desserts and sugar drinks like juice and cola's will make his appetite low so that he won't eat the good food that will make his brain and body be its best. :) Build him well, so that he can grow up to be what ever he wants!!

  • Very normal. We all have done this at one time or another. Don't worry, He will get his appetite back. Then you have to only worry about if he will be a picky eater or not! ( ;

  • Very normal. Considering how much and how well babies eat, it usually comes as a shock to parents when a toddler starts eating 5 cheerios and a cup of juice in a day. Just make sure he has a meal schedule (3 meals, 2 snacks) and make sure that he is offered only healthy things. Since he is eating less, each bite counts.
