Bernanke Speaks.... Did they learn anything in the past 2 yrs?

Bernanke is being grilled by the House today Here is all you need to hear.

The unexpected weakness is forcing the Fed to reconsider its determination early this year to refrain from new efforts to stimulate growth. While no additional actions appear imminent, Mr. Bernanke said in congressional testimony Wednesday that the Fed would be prepared to act if necessary.

He described options including an explicit commitment to maintain its stimulus efforts for a longer period, the resumption of asset purchases or steps that would encourage commercial banks to use the reserves they current keep on deposit with the central bank.

“Prudent planning requires that we evaluate the efficacy of these and other potential alternatives for deploying additional stimulus if conditions warrant,” Mr. Bernanke said.

It's obvious they have not learned.......

  • What condition would warrant additional stimulus? Doesn't anyone see that the first "stimulus" did NOT work and put us WAY further into debt? They are idiots... all of them.

  • They now claim that the reason the first stimulus didn't work was because the package wasn't big enough.

  • They are speaking about a QE3...that's just great!!! Anything to avoid the elephant in the room. By the way, there is a big difference between CEO's (trained only as managers) and small business entrepreneurs that build businesses (where 85% of employment comes from) and Obama's tax policy will hit the latter and not the former. The only business leaders he talks to are CEO's that will not be touched...especially Immelt, head of GE, and GE notably does not pay ANY income tax. GE also heavily invested in those stupid florescent light bulbs, closed all of their American incandescent light bulb plants, and now profits from the manufacture of those stupid light bulbs in China.

  • You go shopping and when you KNOW you can't spend anymore, you STOP! UNLESS, you are a writer of BAD CHECKS, which is what this ADMIN. IS. I find it shameful that they have reduced our great country to just that, A WRITER OF BAD CHECKS!

And I have NO idea why but there are those who still support them and their intentional demise of our country, smh...

  • Time to fire up the printing press! That's fine...things will be in such a mess come election day that Obama wouldn't be able to win if he were the only name on the ballot.

  • Barack Obama has been bent on steering our great country right off a cliff from day 1 ...they don't want to do things that actually worked before with other administrations, Hell no....they have to keep repeating things that haven't worked in other countries around the world and have been tried and failed. I don't know how anyone is still following this maniac. He is a dictator in his heart, in his mind, nothing less and he is NOT going to do anything to HELP our country but only hurt it. He is pissed off at the american people in this country and wants to punish us while he's at it. I will be so happy when I don't have to ever see his face or hear his name again. He is an America hater from way back! He''s here to take us DOWN a few notches and he has certainly done THAT.
