My son does not always eat all of his formula lately he screams and push the bottle out but acts starving gnawing on his hands and fingers once bottle is out he is 7 weeks old

  • I would burp him really well and offer a little more. If the answer is still no, then I wouldn't worry. He might just like playing with these "things" he's just discovered. My DD was always sucking on her feet or a shoe or sock. My boys were just pigs and drank everything offered, even if it made them overly full.

  • hmmm...for a second i was going to say he must be teething...but 7 weeks is way too young, 7 months maybe....i really don't know what to tell you, the pediatrician. hope he starts eating more soon!

  • He is not too young for teething. Teeth can come at any time - some babies arrive with a tooth or two, other turn one with no teeth. Is he on the young side of "average'? Yes. But my guess would be teething.
