  • Make sure to drink plenty of water! dehydration can cause dizziness, and most Americans are routinely dehydrated. Urine should be almost clear in color. If it is yellow, you are dehydrated. If you throw up or have diarrhea, you need even more water. The old adage of 8 glasses a day is not accurate. Take your weight in pounds, drink half that many ounces of water. So a 200 lb person needs 100 ounces of water daily - more when they are sick or exercising hard. You should note, that it is normal to feel dizzy during pregnancy, but if it persists you need to see your doctor to make sure everything is normal. So, here a few other ways to "treat" this: lay down and raise your feet on pillow. Dizziness can be poor blood flow to the brain caused by pregnancy/pressure of blood vessels. If you can't lie down, get head lower than heart in any position. Next, eat protein at every meal to keep blood sugar levels steady. Don't get up fast.

  • Call your doc. Dizziness can sometimes be due to high blood pressure, which is dangerous in pregnancy.
