  • Go check out hystersisters site. Very helpful

I had mine back in 2000. Mine was performed vaginally. I kept my ovaries up until 2 years ago. I think I spent a couple of days in the hospital, not long at all. It went really easy for me. I actually went back to work after 9 days. I worked in hospital administration so I didn't have a physically demanding job so the doctor said if I felt up to it, then he would release me.

I had heard so many horror stories about them that I was very happy with the way my surgery and recovery went. The first night was uncomfortable I will admit, but I was up and showering the next day and walking around. (a little slower than normal of course but certainly not just laid up in bed.)

    Good luck!
