Do you believe it possible?

Do you believe it possible that there is another book of the bible that was not included? That there is another book that could (and in many circles has been proven) to be the actual words of Jesus. Written down by his disiples and yet not included in the bible it self??

  • No. I believe that God has control over what went into the finished Bible and wouldn't have allowed something like that to be left out if it was indeed a true book of the Bible.

  • Check out the The Gospel of Thomas, it is a nearly completely preserved in a Coptic papyrus manuscript discovered in 1945 at Nag Hammadi, Egypt. Although the Vatican has decided that it is not, it is actually believed to be the words of Jesus. Written down by Thomas. It's a wonderful read! There are 114 quotes. After reading it it's no wonder the Church wants nothing to do with it... They would go broke! LOL!!

Jesus was a wonderful prophet! His ideas and teachings are a great basis for belief and it's no wonder it spauned an entire religion. Even as a witch I see some great teachings from his lectures! This is a great read!

  • Ummmm there's actually several that weren't included or cut out. Look up gnostic gospels and New Testament apocrypha. We studied them when I went to Catholic college.

  • Depending on which bible you are reading. Yes there are missing books that are in the Catholic Bible. One is the book of Wisdom.

  • There are several books of the Bible that were not incorporated when the gospels were chosen. I guess whether you believe the omissions were God's will or man's will depends on your point of view.

  • yes cause we have the book of mormon that was left out on purpose and scientist have found other books that have been left out. i think god does things for a reason and that not all books found are meant to be in the bible. some people just can't be open minded enough to believe that god has other reasons for doing this and that he has a purpose for having done so. the bible is not a complete book as all books being in it but complete as this is the book he put together although he had other prophets put other books together cause he knew what men would do and that he would be cast off from this earth(his crucifixion) so he left other books to restore his gospel back on the earth after the bible being picked apart by so many different religious beliefs.

  • There are many books that were written around the time of Jesus and not included because they were considered to be heresy. Most of them are known as the Gnostic texts. The truth is that most of what was left out would've drastically changed Christianity as we know it. And yes, that was totally decided on by men, not God. God had nothing to do with the political and business desires of men.

  • Yes, but I know that there is everything in the one we have that we need to get where He wants us to be--- with HIM! He would not allow anything to be left out that was truly needed. Praise GOD!
