  • i personally feel it should b about 102+ and at that point i would start meds and then if it didnt go down in say 12hours i would go to the doc! just give LOTS of fluids and rest! fevers are good they keep the real infection away!

  • 103, call the doc, 104 + go to ER..
at under 103, alternate tylenol and motron to try to bring it down.. if it stays at 102 for about 24 hours (with no fluctuation) call the doc.

  • I would say if its over 102 and not coming down with luke warm baths and medicine. Your going to get all types of opinions on here so really you need to go with your gut and if your at all concerned go to the hospital, I personally wouldnt wait until it was 104 to go to the ER, my Dr always said 103 was when you take action if its not coming down in a child over 6mths, even if the child seems fine.

  • For me at 103 I call the doctor and get their opinion. Alot of it depends on the child's medical history. At 104 I freak out. lol I know that doesnt help. DD was 103. 6 once and I handled it fine. Lukewarm not cold wash helped bring her down to 102 and motrin got her down to 101 by the time 2 hours had passed.
